Quote Of The Day

“I’ve long believed in what I call “the Jimmy Carter test.” The process consists simply in discovering Carter’s opinions on politics and foreign policy and taking the opposite position. Carter was one of our worst Chief Executives, and he surely ranks as the worst ex-president in our history. He has an uncanny ability to say and do the wrong thing, a talent so huge that James Buchanan and Gerald Ford seem wise in contrast. At the same time, I’ve long felt guilty about the Carter test since in my biography of John F. Kennedy I argued at length that personal character is a vital component in the making of a good President. For decades, Carter has been widely thought to possess sterling character. I’m relieved to discover in Robert D. Novak’s autobiography The Prince Of Darkness that this traditional view may well be untrue. Novak, a veteran Washington journalist, considers Carter “a liar and charlatan.” “Jimmy Carter,” he writes on page 287, “was a habitual liar who modified the truth to suit his purposes.” He makes a persuasive case. Carter’s penchant for appeasement in foreign policy matters is also on display in Novak’s book, shedding light on the ex-president’s fervid hostility toward the war in Iraq and his continued trust in the United Nations.” –Thomas C. And one of Carters pet peeves is Latin America, and I sincerely hope that Carter would lose interest there.

Remember chavez? Chavez had to get permission from the democrats to make the republicans look bad, and can you guess who the go between was?????????? Lets see his name starts with a “C”.

That man should have stuck with “Habitat for Humanities ONLY”.

The thing I remember most about Jimmy Carter’s Presidency (one of our worst chief executives) is how he allowed the terrorists to attack our homeland, killing thousands of U.S. citizens. And then there was his failed mideast strategy, wherein hundreds of thousands of individuals lost their lives, including over three thousand U.S. soldiers, and in which billions of dollars were squandered to no effect. And who can forget the largest stock crash in our lifetimes? And where did Carter get the idea that he could incarcerate U.S. citizens indefinitely without charges - the Constitution obviously meant nothing to him! And don’t get me started on the out-of-control government spending during his administration, and his pathetic inability to reign in a health care system in a death-spiral.

But it wasn’t just Carter’s policies. It was also his character. Bob Novak (stalwart defender of the Swift Boat Vets) has now revealed that Carter was a “liar and charlatan”! Yup, I recall how Carter’s drinking problem, his DUI arrests, and his rumored drug use, almost ruined his marriage. Had Carter not been born with a silver spoon in his mouth, son of a former President, educated in the best New England schools, connected to the elite business classes, he clearly would have never amounted to anything.

Don’t forget how Carter let over 1,000 citizens of a US city die after a hurricane as his administration bungled the entire rescue and rebuilding where they only encouraging thing he could say was that his FEMA chief was doing a heck of a job.

Let’s not forget how he let his Attorney General repeatedly purjure himself in front of congress while firing competent highly regarded prosecutors for political purposes.

There was the time that Carter had Vice-president Mondale get his chief-of-staff out a covert CIA agent to settle a grudge agaisnt that agents wife and then he lied about it in congress. Then Carter commuted his sentence.

There was also the time that he invaded a sovereign nation based upon incorrect evidence regarding weapons of mass desttruction and links to Al-qaeda thus destroying our reputation nation-wide.

    etc, etc.

By yhe way, who initiated a peace accord between Egypt and Israel that has lasted for 30 years.

Oh and Novak is your source of someone who is evil. You mean the only reporter who decided to threaten national security by outing a CIA agent.
