Thanks for pointing out my horrible typing (hitchhunt), lol.

Clinton and DeLay yes totally twisted up in politics. Rove/Libby and Plamegate probably not.

The investigator in this case is a career prosecutor. Appointed as US Attorney for N. Ill. by Rove's own boss, Bush. Selected for this case by Assistand AG Comey also a Bush appointee. He has a long history as a prosecutor only and most of his cowworkers as pointed out in the NY Times now him only as a diligent prosecutor and many do not even know his politics. This case was brought to the attention of the Justice Dept by the CIA, not democrats. Whatever he finds, it seems that he is doing the job of a diligent investigator in a professional manner, no leaks, thoroughly investigating a potential threat to national security. As part of this investigation holding suspects and witnesses to the law and not allowing any violations of perjury, obstruction of justice laws.

On the other hand Starr was a Republican judge with a long history of participation in Republican causes. He had no experience as a prosecutor. He was selected by 3 Republican judges, who were selected by hard right Seator (Helms) with a long held grudge against the suspect. Starr leaked to the press practically every day to continue to feed the story. He started with an investigation about financial transaction before Clinton was in office and went on tangents to the president's sex life.

I agree wholeheartedly that every citizen is subject to the law. But the investigations can be performed without politics.

Everything dealing with politics involves 'political hitchhunt', this was the case with Clinton, and this is the case with Rove and DeLay.

However, that doesn't make it a waste of taxpayers money, for one of the things that makes this country great and unique, is that even presidents of the United States fall under the authority of the law.

History has shown that choosing Kenneth star to do anything is a big mistake.

The fact that this guy who was supposed to be an independent investigator is now used as someone to represent a political group shows you in retrospect what a political hitchhunt and a waste of our taxpayers money this investigation was.
